When attaching the yellow swivel to the water heater heater drain valve, make sure to thread it squarely and do not over tighten. The black gasket needs to seat correctly for a proper seal.

Draining (empty) a tank can be accomplished with air pressure (not water flushing). You can even empty a tank up a flight of stairs if you contain the tanks pressure! See illustration.
